Flat Wire Coils

This is suitable when you want to maintain the inner and outer diameters with a thin wall. By reducing the cross-sectional area of the wire while maintaining the wire strength of a round wire, you can create a thin, yet firm coil. Because we perform everything from rolling to coiling in-house, you can expect to be able to freely set the plate thickness and width, shorten delivery times, and reduce costs.

Standard processing range for rolling

  • Maximum wire diameter φ0.30mm
  • Minimum plate thickness t0.02mm
  • Maximum ratio plate thickness: plate width = 1:5
    *Rolling size is negotiable.

Coil end process

Grinding

Cutting processes such as step machining can be performed on the end surface, which can be used when assembling with other components. By increasing the contact area between products, it is possible to strengthen the joint.

  • Tapering process

We also accept Sub-Assemblies OEM orders.

End surface polishing

The end turns of the single-layer coil are ground and processed to a flat surface. This reduces the step between the start and end of the spirally wound coil, allowing the subsequent welding and assembly processes to be carried out smoothly.

Electropolishing (finishing process)

This is a processing method in which metal is placed in an electrolytic solution and an electric current is passed through it to smooth the metal surface. Burrs and unevenness are removed, and the metal surface is treated in micron units to make it extremely smooth. Materials: Nitinol, SUS steel, titanium, etc.

Benefits of electropolishing

The following characteristics make it possible to use it for medical device parts.

  • Smoothing treatment (surface roughness (Ra) = up to 0.1 μm)
  • Improved durability
